There’s 1.5 million people there, and BBC/Sky News sent no-one.

That's because NI is totally irrelevant to the British parliament. Only in very rare cases can the DUP prop up a Tory government. Sinn Fein/IRA don't take up their seats.

I mean, I can't say this in a way that doesn't sound disrespectful, but they're literally irrelevant when the result is like this.

In a way, I don’t disagree with you.

And I'm awake again and an espresso Martin already sunk.

Exit poll of 13 Reform is a bit disappointing.

Are you standing by the prediction that this is the end of the Tories?

Yep, it's a bit concerning - I'd hoped the Greens would outpoint them, but it seems there are more racist arseholes than well meaning softies in the UK.

Who is bothered about 16 seats to reform.  Labour will have such a massive majority they can do what they want.

I think the worry is they grow from here

It will be all about the economy. If Labour can achieve real 'growth' in the next five years (though seemingly w/o entering the single market) and keep this seemingly informal alliance with the libdems whilst the tories eat themselves in opposition, they should be re-elected. Should.

They can play the blame game for the first term on the economy , the only thing stopping them getting a second term will be if Starmer is found snorting cocaine of a hookers arse .. and even then I think he’d still get reelected , there isn’t any current Tory in the ranks that is going to galvanise them

Wouldn't be surprised if quite a few potential Green voters got cold feet at the last minute and voted Labour, I know I did

I'd personally prefer it if the Irish weren't allowed to vote in our elections.

I, too, would prefer if the Act of Union hadn’t abolished Dublin’s parliament 😇

Me too - I live in a hopelessly Tory constituency (as in so hopeless it'll most likely still be Tory tomorrow) but I felt I had to take the best possible chance of removing the Conservatives and in this case that meant voting with my angry head rather than my hopeful heart.

The prediction is that Sutton Coldfield and Solihull go red.

Tamworth remains blue, like the rabid fools they are :)
