Both Sky and C4 seem to have given up on showing any results coming in now. I still want to see what's happening.

For anyone who still thinks proportional representation is a good idea......

.....we could be welcoming a Conservative/Reform coalition to power this morning.

Or a Labour /Lib Dem /Green one. I'll still take PR.

People would vote differently so you can’t really make the comparison

If that is what the people want that is what they should have. That would be democracy.

You might find though that Labour would have been forced to run a campaign that genuinely excited people rather than just a small target ‘don’t scare the horses’ campaign that wins you a huge majority under FPTP.

Agreed.

But there could have been an even higher Reform vote if people thought they had a realistic chance of power under PR.

And Waveney Valley too. That’ll be four MPs for them, a great result exceeding the exit poll

Completely sure that they'll get the same media attention as Reform over the next few days, given their likely equivalent seat count.

From my calculations a reform tory coalition on these figures would come to less that 40%. About 37 to 38%.

Labour/Lib dem/ Green comes in over 50%.

So yes, PR please.

It encourages small extremists to stand and distort government by holding the balance of power.
