Finishing with the tag line “the **** PSR range by Villa and Adidas” “available now at shop.avfc.co.uk Na… let’s stick with the escalator theme. Tubby
Excited for Aston Villa's Argentinian spine. Martinez > Barrenechea > Buendia Alvarez up top and we've nailed it. Maybe we can buy an Argentinian club whilst we're at it!
The_Steve
Under £10m for Enzo - could be a real bargain.

Got a hunch! I’m surprised he hasn’t any youth caps tbh

Argentinian clubs are fan-owned... though the Chicago Boy redux currently in charge there is pushing for privatization.
Herman22
I think this is going to be an interesting signing. I do wonder if Unai thinks this kid plus the other centre mids have enough to cover us until Bouba gets back.

VillaAlex
Never seen him play but watching highlights of his Frosinone matches and he really likes a slide tackle. Seemed to time them well though.

We will get another CM in, either permanent or loan. Enzo will be new to the league and may need some time to settle in and Kamara won’t be fit until October or November. That leaves just Tielemans, Barkley (once signed) and McGinn. Definitely one more to come in.

Even without him to start with, if we sign 1 more, we have 5 players for 2 positions. Can't afford to stack more than that.

Some games we played with four midfielders across the pitch in…. McGinn Kamara Luiz Tielemans

Can't afford to stack more than that. which players are you considering as the central ones? Tielemans & Barkley can play there, but equally they could play the inside wide positions or the 10. Mcginn, to be brutally honest, looked a mess whenever he played centrally in the midfields pair, he seems better in the inside wide positions or no.10. Enzo is clearly the DM position, but is he the starter there?, or is he backup/support/competition for the senior DM? We dropped off badly without Kamara last season, and none of the players we had at our disposal, apart from maybe Tielemans, were effective in that position, and tbh i would prefer tielemans in the 8 position, or in the more forward positions. To me, we have many players who can play the no.8, the inside wide players or the no.10, or 3/4 of those roles (mcginn, tielemans, rogers, barkley, ramsey, bailey, diaby, buendia) for example, for the no.8, LM, RM and no.10 (depending on how we play), we have 8 players for 4 positions (tielemans, mcginn, rogers, barkley, ramsey, bailey, diaby, buendia) for the DM, a proper, genuine specialised DM, we have 1 (Enzo) What we dont have, is a proper experienced DM who can anchor that midfield and recycle effectively (like Kamara did). just my opinion ofc.
