We'd still owe about £10mil on Duran plus potentially some of the add-on fees, so worst case scenario say we are down £15mil if Duran goes. Then we bring in £40mil for him so we're £25mil up. Then we spend £35mil on a player on a 5 year deal, so this year it only costs £7mil. Overall PSR balance of +£18mil, maybe more if my £15mil was too pessimistic. We also have some young fullbacks in the youth/reserves. I haven't seen enough of Maatsen defensively to give much of an opinion on him but he seems like he'll be more of an attacking fullback too. Would we sign both this summer? I'd personally keep Digne with Maatsen for a year, let Unai find Iling's best place in the team. If it turns out to be left back, then let Digne go in January or the summer.
