Keyblade
Uh wow. He showed Digne up offensively and Cash defensively all in one performance
djdabush
Was excellent and I thought Digne was pretty good too. Nice to have 2 really solid options there who have different strengths.
KAZZAM
Maatsen gave pretty much nothing to Kudus unlike Cash. He's got very quick feet likes to nip in I've noticed.
HeroesAndVillans Posted August 17 VT Supporter Share Posted August 17 This guy is going to be immense, I can't believe we can have players like him come off of the bench now A far cry from the Villa I grew up with in the best way possible
M_Afro
Looked amazing. Our subs won us that game and he was a big part of that. He looked electric.
Pinebro
Such an improvement on Digne Just so much more powerful and quick I know some people on here is fond of Digne and he is very much a steady eddy but Maatsen is clearly different level

Moreno will move on in next two weeks and hard to see how Iling Jr figures apart from league cup so he could well go out on loan in January to the championship. Farlz
He's gonna be so good in a month or two when he's locked down that position.

My issue with Digne is the fact how slow he is and he is unable to go past players Very limited but steady Edited August 17 by Pinebro
VillaAlex
Aggressive, fast, that touch for the goal... It's no surprise he's a fantastic player coming from a Champions League finalist, who was named best LB in the competition. For what it's worth I thought Digne was solid today too and will be valuable rotation. Maatsen will have his drop of form etc no doubt and niggles so it's great to have such competition.
The_Steve
Digne's not the attacking full back, he's a defensive one who can cross. Ian looks miles ahead of Moreno.

Plus digne was very good defensively.
AndyM3000
This guy and Digne on a rotation works for me. Now sort the RB side out and we are good. 2

He does compared to Moreno of last season. When Moreno first came he was unbelievable in fairness. Could beat players in tight spaces and his cutbacks were always accurate. Maatsen does look class though!
