VillaParkAvenue
21 minutes ago, Okonokos said: This screams of an "Emery will work his magic and develop his potential" kind of transfer to me. Rogers-esque. Maybe, maybe not. Rogers was spotted by Emery. Iling-Junior is a player who happens to be surplus at the club we’re currently dealing with, so not exactly hand picked. Juve may want to keep him and are reluctantly letting him go in order to secure DL? Please don't tell me that you've been suckered into believing Juventus' fans position on this - remember the Bentancur situation?

His value is probably as high as it's gonna get unless he signs a new deal. English clubs pay premium for young English players.
The_Steve
Started his career at full back, plays a lot on the wing for Juve but can pivot. Got a lot of potential.

We've been linked with Iling-Junior before back in January, when his asking fee was around £25m. He's hardly just some random player thrown into the deal: we clearly want him or else we wouldn't be entertaining this deal.

Good read, sounds like an exciting player. Like Rogers, defo someone whose value will increase under Emery.
Indigo
Juve have played a back 5 this season with him as a wing back, essentially how Villa use their left back so he could be an interesting, younger replacement if either Digne or Moreno were to leave. More comparable to the latter of that pair in that he's fast, takes players on etc.
VillaChris
Don't want McKennie at all. This guy would be a decent addition though given his age and experience with Juventus already. We do need a younger LB in the squad sooner or later. Edited June 11 by VillaChris
