They're wasting time with courtesy to the questioner to try and look more human, which they kind of have to, so they don't look weird and rude, so they actually end up with about 20 seconds to actually provide some answers, it's crap.

How is starmer gonna get 40,000 extra appointments? Thats fantasy unless you intend to overwork clinicians even further.

You need to get more doctors in - or change the way you recruit to make it more attractive for people to come in

He mentioned before about working weekends but I agree he needs more doctors and nurses

Starmer isn't doing very well here at all. He wasn't given enough time on the 2k thing, but he let it sit for 15 minutes and several repeated allegations before he even tried.

"That isn't true, that is not our policy, and will not be in our manifesto".

Job done. Shut it down quickly and simply, don't try and waffle on about the detail of how they got to 2k, you don't have time and it won't stick anyway.
