He should have done the decent thing and declared himself injured tbfh because he clearly, absolutely couldn't even sprint or jump today.

So, so selfish to declare himself for when there was Watkins and Toney and Palmer on the bench.

Guehi?

Not good on the ball, too negative on the ball, a bit too lightweight for me.

I wouldn't have him down VP

I think he was very solid. Considering it was the fact it's his first tournament, he had Trippier next to him for the majority of it who was f****** shocking, Stones as his partner in central defence who was will below his standards at City and Pickford behind him who is not good enough.

I agree, I wouldn't have him down VP and I think Konsa is miles better, but in my opinion he had a very good tournament.

I thought Pickford was very good. He's never let England down.

There's a lot more to being a goalie than shot stopping. His kicking was like something out of the local park.

He's too erratic.

Was a shit game but we can finally end this Declan Rice world class myth

Rice does a solid job in club football where it's more box to box but yeah when he's pressed he just hasn't got the nimbleness in his balance to dribble away with the ball and just boots it away under pressure. I do think Mainoo has so this will be the annual conundrum, got for physical athlete as DM or someone smaller but more technically proficient.

Even with his decent season for Arsenal no one with a sane mind thinks he's anywhere near Rodri's level.

Just look at the 10-15mins we pressed and went for it, they didn't look a class above at all. Had we had a coach who could get the best out of these players Spain would have been on the back foot for most of that game, as would Italy in 2021.

Anyone who puts the blame on the players is a **** tool.

Oh, I thoroughly believe we should be genuine World Cup winners. Southgate is holding this set of players back so badly. We've already lost at least one, probably 2 European Cups because of him.

This isn't even a brilliant Spanish team lol.

Loads of fodder from the likes of the mighty Real Sociedad, Atheltico Bilbao, Real Betis and Al Nassr lol.

They're just coached well and play progressive football.

Man for man we have better options (bar Rodri) and we play conservative football and aren't coached well.

Bang on. I'd rather go out swinging and attacking than being scared to go forward and commit players.

Genuinely think we'd have won both games had we not put the priority on stopping the other side playing. That said, yeah, go for it and lose you have no regrets, do this shite twice and it's regrets all the way...

Apart from giving the ball away almost every time he kicked it yeah, why not?

Well, we shouldn't be relying on him to be a playmaker IMO. Based on saves, I thought he was ok.

I care little for thd result tonight, apart from the fact I won several hundred quid on the result. Football starts for me Wednesday at Walsall.

This. People going on about how good they are. I'd have us man to man far superior.

Have some respect - Williams (Bilbao) was one of the best players in the tournament for Spain. Zubimendi is a top class midfielder too.

Spain don't get enough credit for their coaching - de la Fuente is a tournament specialist and coached up the levels of the international game. He knows how to win tournaments. England don't under Southgate.

He's alright as a shot stopper and no-one is asking him to be a playmaker, just give it to feet to someone who can get us going forwards and keep the ball.

They have a bit more than just Rodri. Their defenders were miles better than ours. They read nearly everything. Our, so called, top players, once again, flattered to deceive.

They were deffo the best consistent performers in the tournament, they will get a lot better, very young aide.
