Came out asleep for the second half and then just totally took the foot off the gas after the goal, even Watkins and Palmer looked to be barely pressing after. Really sad Spain didn't look amazing.

Spain were missing their best player in second half and still should've knocked in 3 or 4.

Olmo playing for them is exactly what Foden should've been doing for England in this tournament. That's for the next coach to try to find a solution.

**** off Southgate, when we went for it we looked like we could win. Just rubbish tactically. Give them the ball, no pressure till halfway, just asking to get beat. Now lost two finals trying to kill the game and score on the break. Bullshit football with the players we have.

Nah, he’ll be Englands main striker in 2 years time.

Best team of the tournament won. Fully justified. Well done Spain.

As for England... Well, again went behind and went for it, scored then back to normal! Why?! Hopefully this is the end of the Southgate era.

Why had the ref blown up bang on 4 minutes when Spain wasted at least 2 minutes? Not really good enough for this level of the game. I doubt England would have done anything but that’s pretty damn lacking

Game was lost the moment Pickford started hoofing it repeatedly. Took the foot off the gas against one of the best pressing teams in Europe if not globally. They were on the back foot.

He'll be recreating it over and over again for the next few seasons. Good and all as he is, his first touch isn't exactly elite.

Easy with hindsight and all that but as has been said, stopped pressing shortly after getting the equaliser and settled back into the same shape that had been ineffective for most of the previous 75 minutes. Why not continue with the shape that got the equaliser and was putting their defence under pressure resulting in them going long?!
