Or he doesn't dive because he can see a guy stood offside a yard away from him

Impacts his decision making

I'm genuinely gob smacked people think that's not offside

That's not the rule though, it's always been is the player in line or blocking his eye line. And he's not

He's already down from a previous dive and just about on his feet when the ball is hit.  I highly doubt that defender is impacting his decision making.

I do find it funny that the only VAR controversy so far has been at the hands of PL refs

UEFA - VAR checks are sorted very quick

PL Refs - Hold my beer UEFA

Players can be blatantly offside, even near a keeper and not prevent a goal being scored. Keeper should have tried to save the shot, but he didn’t because he didn’t react fast enough.

So keepers shouldnt dive in case they get injured ?

Don't tell the goalkeepers about those metal post things - they'll never be diving again!

That's not the rule though

The rule is impacts his ability to play the ball

Of course he does look where he's stood!

So lets just stick our attackers near the goal keepers in games to prevent their keeper diving. We wouldnt want to see any injuries to a keeper in case they dive - i mean keepers are not suppose to do that !

He’s a good metre away though. What’s the cut off point? He’s not getting it either way. His own defender is interfering more.

Jermaine Jenas called the VAR/Offside right....it seems like they looked for every angle to disallow it yet the game is all about goals.
