It's coming home, it's coming home, football's coming home....

Tell me when to stop laughing and English teams managed by rocket polishers 😅

Just the kind of game to bring Jack on when you’re chasing the game.  Oh hang on

Was it really though? His club manager didnt put the 100million pound man on in a cup final when had no creativity

Southgate did the game before and what happened,.play that first assist back and give your head a wobble,  world class pass.

Based on last night, if we go 1-0 down in any game during the tournament, I think it is pretty much game over. Denmark and Serbia will shut the game down like Iceland did, and we seem devoid of ideas.

After seeing Emery show us how a side can be set up to both compete and play attractive football, watching England is painful at the moment.

That was a truly awful performance last night, only one clear chance for England and Iceland deserved to win. Thanks goes to Paddy Power as with 9 minutes to go you could get almost evens on an Iceland win.

I said Grealish would be a big miss. We lost to Italy in the final because Southgate flapped and brought him on too late.

Your expecting to win a tournament with players who have only a couple of caps and a team that hasn't really played together, it ain't gonna happen. Southgate has really exceled himself this time. 😂

I think the team are just gonna have to play for themselves, like they did before, an throw Southgates tactics out the window. Do people really need anymore proof hes just literally clueless.

An for the ones who claim it was just a friendly. It was a friendly we needed to win. There were players out there, that needed to play there way into the team, an they looked clueless what they were supposed to be doing.

I agree that he doesn't play well for England (and he's not world class)

But then 25 players not called Harry Kane can get that tag and even he plays a different role for England than he does for Bayern (he drops deep for them but not that deep, he doesn't pop up at RB)

At what point do you point the finger at Southgate?

Agree completely

Foden is brilliant.

What is Pep's formation that he can't play outside of?

Slovenia aswell. I think the groups will be o.k for England although will probably be two matches like the one v USA in the World cup where not much was created and it just petered out into an uneventful draw.

The only chance England have of winning this tournament is if Bellingham and Foden storm the tournament like they have for their clubs but neither have looked that influential for England so far, Foden still seems to be drifting from position to position trying to find a way he can make an impact at international level.

Not sure but Sterling was the classic case of looking far better at Man. City than he actually was.

He perfected the art of coming in at the back post to tap in a cross that inflated his productivity.

When at Chelsea he's been asked to come deeper and create and score he's looked completely hopeless.

Was the same at England until Euro 2021 when it all clicked for a tournament.

Sterling never hit the levels Foden hit this season. Not just G/A, but being in the best player in the league conversations and just dominating games.

Foden just being “drive and shoot” is a clueless opinion. And if you agree, just proves you’ve never watched him play. He’s an excellent passer of the ball.

Sterling can't control or kick a football properly. He's faster than most other professionals though. City used him well, I agree.

Foden is another level. Outstanding technical player.

Not looking good under this manager is very routine. Only Grealish bucked the trend in 2020/21 when finally given a chance.

Yeah that's an overexaggeration of his limitations but when was the last time he put in a quality performance for England?
