Italy do have better centre backs though. Bastoni, Califiori and Scalvini would get in England team

Califiori would probably give Southgate a heart attack with his style

None of them are close to the level of Bonucci and Chellini, that's another issue for Italy.

I thought they were lucky to beat Albania so Croatia will be interesting as Italy don't usually do well in decider group matches.

Not that level but Bastoni is one of best in the world and Scalvini will be in a few years

Wouldn't be that surprised if Croatia beat them but probably will get through on 3 points

They need to ditch the back 4 and go to a 3 at the back with wing backs.  Most of their squad play that way for their clubs, particularity the inter players who've just won the league.

Agree, it seems he is trying to shoehorn Chiesa in and thats why using a back 4

Seems that way. Italy have no real decent wingers to speak of, but have probably two of the best wing backs in Dimarco and Di Lorenzo, should be playing to their strengths.

Kinda sad that Fabian Ruiz was barely a rotation player for PSG last season. We could do worse that having him in midfield if Luiz leaves. PSG salaries makes it pretty far fetched sadly.

Spain are in a bizarre situation with German law as Lamine Yamal is not technically allowed to work after 11pm and if Spain get to extra time in an evening game he might have to come off 😂

Have to be the worst Italy-side I have seen.

Just no attack the rest is fine. Retegui is a ringer brought in from Argentina and not even a good ringer plus Raspadori im not sure what he does

Look a bit better balanced since dropped Chiesa

Been better lately but still not very good against a poor Croatia

Croatia have been poor again

One tournament too many for some of their players

Spain look strong, cruising with their second XI and give their players a rest tonight.

With the 24 team format it feels like it doesn't really get going into the quarters now. When it was 16 the group stages had some proper jeopardy in them. Still at least it isn't 48 teams like the next world cup which is ridiculous.
