The average of the ST price for Zone 1888, 1, 2 and 3 is identical to that of Category A This is fact and on the club's website. There are marginal differences where CL is cheaper or more expensive across those 4 price tiers but they're essentially immaterial. Some ST holders will pay less than Cat A and some more. Zone 4 will pay £15 more however. Edited September 5 by CVByrne
OutByEaster? Posted September 5 Moderator Share Posted September 5 They've changed the criteria If you're between 14 and 18, your ticket just tripled in price. There have been a few wondering if they'd react to the uproar by reducing prices. They've increased the price from yesterday. Unbelievable. EDIT: The club quickly changed this back. 1 1 1

It feels like there should be something in between those two things. There will be members that went to twenty games last season and those that just went to Hibs because their grandad was from Edinburgh. I’d be fuming if I was a member. At least they’ve given us ST holders 22hrs notice before they go on sale

Zone 4 will pay £15 more however. Zone 1 Cat A £78.00 - CL £94.00 (£79.00) Zone 2 Cat A £72.50 - CL £94.00 (£79.00) Zone 3 Cat A £67.50 - CL £85.00 (£70.00) Zone 4 Cat A £55.00 - CL £85.00 (£70.00) And that's if you ignore the difference between the price a season ticket holder actually pays and the actual price of a Cat A ticket. For an 1888 season ticket holder, the price is cheaper than a Cat A, at a bargain £82.00 - however, even when you look at that exception in terms of the real difference, an 1882 season ticket holder pays £944 for 19 games, or £49.68 per game - so the real actual uplift in price, even for the only area where the Cat A goes in your favour is actually £32.00. A zone 4 season ticket holder pays £640.00 per season, £33.68 per game - for them, this isn't £15.00, it's an increase of more than 100% on the usual price they pay for a game.

OutByEaster? Posted September 5 Moderator Share Posted September 5 I am struggling to get my head around it to be honest - they surely haven't reacted to all of the fuss yesterday by trying to sneak in a massive price rise in one of the concessions are they? Unbelievable. If that's not a mistake by the club, someone should be losing their job.

Marka Ragnos Posted September 5 VT Supporter Share Posted September 5 (edited) It's really disappointing that the club made such a foolish error and then blamed PSR. From a PR perspective alone, this is the "new Villa's" first unmitigated disaster, unless you count the hiring of Gerrard as that. Heads really should roll in the organisation, somewhere. There needs to be some urgent show of accountability before the toxicity affects the players and coaching staff. The fan groups asked the club to price the CL games the same level a Category A games. The club have essentially done that for the season ticket holders. So the vast majority of people going to the games have got exactly what they requested. So they haven’t done what was requested
