All match forums updated. This thread will lock in a few days.

Could we have this thread like the general Race for Premier League thread - where we will talk generally about the CL campaign… like league position, points gained, points needed, who likely opponents will be in knock-out round as other results come in, and so on?

No, because people will use it for individual games. A generic tournament thread on Other Football would be fine.

The Race for the Premier League thread will similarly be locked if it becomes a general thread about the tournament, rather than Villa's part in it.

Ticket news Monday perhaps?

The pricing for this terrifies me!

See? People talking about individual matches already.

Where?

I'm assuming they'll announce the ticket pricing all at once.

Well all the home games will be the same price, they have said that before. I'm still hoping for the lower end of the scale

They've already said that the prices will be higher than the league Cat A tickets.

I didn't know that, when did that happen. I might have to drop some league games in that case. Do I need 2 lungs

At the Supporters meeting. I'm expecting it to quite painful - hopefully it's not.

Cat A is painful enough, we're gonna need morphine

Someone argue with me, please.

Young Boys v Aston Villa - This will be tough. May be a cagey affair.
Aston Villa v Bayern Munich - Much harder than everyone who thinks Munich are shite now thinks.
Aston Villa v Bologna - We can win this.
Club Brugge v Aston Villa - Tough, but winnable.
Aston Villa v Juventus - I actually think we will win this one.
RB Leipzig v Aston Villa - Nope.
AS Monaco v Aston Villa - Smaller nope -- may be possible, but I think they will surprise us.
Aston Villa v Celtic - We can win this.

We need at least three or four wins to progress, I believe.

I feel our defence is going to be our downfall this season. We conceded loads last season and have already conceded four in three league games. I fear that we will struggle against the higher quality we will encounter in the Champions League. Emi Martinez himself said that we need to defend better this season and, so far, we haven't.
