Having to wait another four months before we play a home CL tie at VP would be ridiculously. Would also be very cold. Walking to VP on a mild September evening as the sun is setting spells a European night to me so this is what I'm envisaging. Everything will suddenly become very real tomorrow so just looking forward to watching with us in it which will seem surreal based on all the missed opportunities of the last thirty years. Compared with Celtic in Pot 3 it does show the weird seeding of teams is a bit nonsense in the Uefa world. One big league with everyone in it. You play one home, one away from each pot above, minimum eight matches for everyone. Top eight of big league straight through to knockouts. Normal two leg type thing. Bottom eight out altogether. Middle 16 play two-leg playoffs. Very confident Aston Villa will not be bottom 8 of that big league. Confident with Unai we've got a good chance at getting through a two-legger against anyone.
