That seems alot for Broja considering he hasn't looked good since injury. Promoted clubs taking on risky deals like this is suicidal. I mean what if they stay up and he doesn't even play or gets injured its crazy. They won't stay up but if they do that's another £100m guaranteed in TV money. That will make sure they can cover the fee. Also if they do stay up it will likely mean he's a had good season for them.
HanoiVillan
I don't think Broja is very good or particularly likely to fire them to safety, but as in all these things you also have to consider on the other side whether anyone significantly better would have been willing to move to a club with a very high likelihood of relegation. Particularly strikers, who increasingly barely exist these days.
Kuwabatake Sanjuro
If they ended the up buying him it would be over 50m for him and Delap, neither of whom are very good, mad money.
GingerCollins29
Forest about to spend 30m on a striker. Are we the only club playing by the PSR rules?

GingerCollins29
We moan about the sky 6 cartel, but when so many of 'the other 14' continue to pay huge fees for their cast offs, who are usually shite, it continues to strengthen them. Ideally, all clubs should just refuse to do business with the scum 6.

I dont get why someone in some front office phones a few of their colleagues and set this up, especially against Chelsea. Basically take them out of the equation with player sales and let them sit with their 40+ squad of unmovables creating havoc and PSR disaster. Sure they maight wiggle out of it somehow but it will put a big wrench in their operation 1
villaglint
Trouble is Chelsea own in one way or another 34% of all players playing the game professionally so you basically have to deal with them.

But that fee if they stay up is ridiculous. He’s nowhere near worth that. They finished last season with Kieffer Moore upfront so I assume the plan will be Broja as targetman and then Smodzics to gamble on the knock downs and be the more regular scorer. Ipswich play on the front foot with wing backs so think they'll be a difficult team to play at home if those two click. They have plenty of strikers on their books from the promotions but looks like McKenna dosen't think any of them will really cut it at prem level so pretty ruthless from him but needed. Forgot they signed Liam Delap aswell but big ask for him to step up in the prem as his championship loans have been o.k but no more than that. He's more a signing for if they go straight back down. KAZZAM
Nketiah is 25. I honestly thought he was 22. He's never really had any good season at all. Just cause he plays for Arsenal he must be good right? It's total madness money.
villa89
Nketiah, solanke, Delap, broja all gone for mad money. Makes £40m for Duran Duran look very cheap. It's a good time to be a mediocre striker. Edited August 21 by villa89

Kuwabatake Sanjuro
Brentford paying big money for Sepp Van Den Berg now, I haven't seen him play much for Mainz but he didn't impress me in his Preston loans. Still young so obviously improved since but £30 million looks stupid for him.

To be fair to Solanke he had a great season last year (so unsurprising he got a decent move) but he has taken his time to upgrade his scoring stats over the years. The others though are either untested at this level or already found unable to compete in the premier league.
Cizzler
£30m for Broja, wow. Double what we sold Archer for despite Archer having very similar PL goals record (for a worse team).
