Is he more of a Shearer or more of a Heskey?

probably way of both them level and more of a Rickie Lambert or Andy Carroll than either of them

He's like Mario Gomez or Klose, very physical, wins headers "classic" throw back number 9 type stuff which is why people like him, especially the national team fans where his record is good but they always pull that up rather than his club record because his club career is just ok, nothing special

He could be decent, he definitely could be better than Antonio and Ings but they should have paid the extra and got Duran

£65M for Solanke.

Madness, never trust any striker who's happy to go through easons scoring 3s and 6s

He scored the same amount of goals in the league as Watkins last season.

Is this confirmed?

it would mean Bournemouth have some cash to spend on Archer.

and that as a downgrade could put them in some trouble!

solanke is interesting as i think in the build up to the england squad id say he gets goals but doesnt do as much in general play as toney let alone watkins but then at the same time spurs have so many options in attack that maybe they can sut play with a proper out and out number 9 and be ok, still an element of lazy scouting and PL money about it though

Yeah Solanke was underwhelming for a few years but was a top quality striker last season. He may be a better all round option than Toney as unless I'm unaware of any controversies he should come with much less baggage.

Speaking of controversy Marseille are going all out to be scumbag FC as they try sign Elye Wahi.

Bournemouth already signed Enes Unal as a replacement for Solanke so if I were them I'd string Spurs along and make sure they fully pay the release clause as you can bet Levy will be trying to unload some of their fringe players to Bournemouth for a lower fee.

Probably preparing to bring Joey Barton back as coach

Purple patch. The seasons before that he scored just 6 and 3 league goals, respectively. Absolutely not worth that reported fee.

Just skipping the seasons in between when he scored 15 and then 29 in the Championship?

Because it was the Championship. He’s looked mostly average in the Prem until last season. Ollie is the much better striker.

Or, perhaps he excelled under a good manager?  Spurs create shit loads of chances, he'll fit their system perfectly and bang in goals this season.

The fee might seem excessive, but good strikers are hard to come by and always go for bigger money (Aren't we looking for £40m for Duran with a handful of sub appearances and a few goals?).

Nobody said he was better than Ollie.  The fact that Watkins would be sold for £100m and Solanke £60m should emphasise that.

Ollie never scored 29 goals in the Championship and many fans of other teams used to say he was average.

Ollie is a better player than Solanke, but to cherry pick two year's out of 4 doesn't tell the full story.

Juve caught sleeping.

I know it’s already been covered but they really do appear to have into possession of a magic money tree down there at West Ham.
