However I've seen us have shit preseasons and good seasons, and brilliant pre seasons and shit seasons. I've seen players look world beaters in preseason then be shit in season, and vice versa, so I'm not anywhere close to worrying yet. A game or two before opening is when the ACTUAL team starts take shape imo. Too many variables with us ATM to judge now also. Only one good move in the whole of the first half Barkley has brought the form of his previous Villa spell and can’t be trusted in a central midfield role. It's a red card because was about the 3rd time ref had to deal with niggle between them.
