Posted July 28 Moderator Share Posted July 28 Not the best 45 minutes, but familiar in terms of individual performances so far this pre-season - Rogers, Nedeljkovic and Barrenechea looking really sharp and Bailey I think looks a little sharper, he's getting there. Archer can finish, but he's not great at anything else and Illing-Junior looks like he'd benefit from a year on loan somewhere, he's not impressed in pre-season at all and given the competition down the left I don't see him as a player that I want to see a lot of in the coming season. We're not quite sharp yet, but we're missing a bundle of players still and I'm not sure we should be panicking. We do look shaky at the back though and we're showing that we most definitely need at least one more centreback and that Gauci isn't ready to take Olsen's place. Feel bad for Villa fans who bought tickets for this because honestly, this is the match I thought most likely for us to lose. Hope they planned on fellowship and not a win.
