UpTheVilla26
Mine would have to be the Premier League around seasons 93/94/95. I was around 10 or 11 at this time and besides collecting the Merlin Stickers I also did a Subbuteo League and had folders and pads full of squads, stats etc... I could still name someone the Ipswich Town or Wimbledon squads from back then. Mental really why all that info stuck.

I have a better knowledge of non Villa Prem squads/lineups from that period than I do for now. Edited April 8 by Wainy316

Stevo985 Posted April 8 VT Supporter Share Posted April 8 I honestly think mine would have to be Villa. Like if I went on Mastermind or something, I don't think there's anything I know well enough that I could choose other than Villa. Maybe "Aston Villa in the Premier League era" or something. It's quite sad but I think the only other thing that would come close would be Attitude Era WWF I had an encyclopedic knowledge of WWF at that time

Plus you get far more interested and obsessed with things than you do when you're older. Same with me and the wrestling above. I was just in those early teen years where I was obsessed with something and everything stuck. These days I can't remember my own age, let alone who was the tag team champion at the "st valentines day massacre" in 1999

Is that a victory in the sense of going 1 up after 10 minutes before conceding 6 before half time?

Astonishing lack of knowledge in the medical profession about how skin heals. Plenty of knowledge about internal body parts, bugger all about what it's all wrapped in. Nurses get about a day's training on it. Doctors get none whatsoever. General financial advice (not current products) Computer software mechanic stuff ”Why is it borked?" Kind of stuff. And windows installations stuff. I am currently working on a literature search to provide info on diabetes wound care, so you know if I get bored and start reading all the articles I may join you on that first one (narrator: he won't) As said above when I was a kid I was a proper statto about football, and watched / read villa videos and books particularly in that early PL era. Otherwise not really a lot, the Slow Horse Book series? Read quite a bit about the Cambridge 5 spy ring which I find very compelling, but we have some history boffs here who I'm sure would eclipse me easily

sne
Used to be sports in general and football in particular. Everything just stuck in my head without effort and I was extremely interested. Would have fancied me in any trivia contest or discussion. But I've lost interest and these days I don't even remember/care about the old stuff, never mind the new.
