Could Dara O'Shea be worth a look as a budget back-up? If we move Carlos on and can't bring in a top player we want, is he good enough to play Carlos' minutes?

He is poor in the air probably worse than Pau

Not for me, probably Ireland 4th/5th best centre back and is mistake prone. Egan is a better defender and is on a free and I wouldnt touch him either

It’s a problem.

Torres not being able to defend is the main issue but because he’s Spanish and can pass a bit, everybody just ignores it.  

TO be fair it was his first season in the PL and was thrust into action due to Ty going down injured.

I have noticed more aggressiveness in his play this preseason. I am hoping her surprises us on this front.

Wouldn't go that far but he's a jack of all trades, master of none type.

I personally wouldn't have him over Maatsen, Pau or Konsa so we're either bringing him to be a more defensive RB or for squad depth at CB. If that's what we're offering then he may as well stay at Liverpool as he'd cost us too much to be sat on the bench. Chalobah would be cheaper if we want a versatile British defender.

£3-4m I'd consider but no, horribly overrated and goes missing a lot

I know he cost £50-60m, has mental health issues (no shame in that), and Spurs tried / failed to sell him to Saudi so they could get Solanke... but I think there's a player in there still. May be a left field choice, but he'll be a strong rotational option for Ollie imo

I'd rather go after Solanke than Richarlison.
