If we could persuade Alvarez of the project, he would be the perfect fit to cover both Diaby and Duran going. Obviously the playing time/main man vibe would be a hard sell, but I reckon (ducks for cover) he would score more than Ollie for us. The combo/options between them would be superb. And proven in the PL unlike Felix.

Love the idea, he could play regularly up there but the question is does he want to be the main CF or happy to be SS and what are his demands? Could alternate with ease too.

A proper statement signing and genuine CL level class that has years of top performances in him… plus, we have his mate Emi (and little Emi) here. The more Argies (or South Americans) the merrier!

Would be lovely but maybe a tad unrealistic.

Looked it up (but these salary websites can be dubious/inaccurate): 

Diaby 130k pw

Duran 30k pw (was thinking it might be around 50 but maybe not).
