Dude has a terrible injury history. Not sure why people are still so giddy about him.

I think you’re not far off

my thoughts are Dendoncker, Duran, Moreno will be sold and Dobbin loaned. That will get our PL squad In line, and our CL squad down to 3 over.

1 goal keeper, Kosta and Kamara unregistered for CL

then it’s like for like sold/bought for

Diaby/Buendia.
Cash.
Carlos.
Olsen

Then we win the league and CL

Insightful especially the last line!

Oh dear… forget it.

He's becoming my equivalent to your Chiesa infatuation but...  Milenkovic from Fiorentina?   Available for under £25m, right sided CB, experienced, leader, would see Villa as step up, decent in air/with feet and a nasty streak which I love in CBs.

Aside from a weird link to Forrest, he's flown under the radar this summer. Pavlovich would also be great but he's left footed and may be going to Milan

He’s been linked to… West Ham iirc

Is he THAT good?

TBH there's no value naming some of the world's best CBs as we're not in a position to sign them so my liking of Milenkovic is because he might offer a smart buy  -  he's a very good player in his own right but probably not better than Konsa. He is better than Carlos so would be an upgrade on our depth with lower wages than Carlos, hence liking him for the RCB #2 spot in the squad

He'd be an astute signing, would help Nedjeljkovic settle as well

Edit: Just seeing Forest have bid £13m for him, would have him for that price.  If we could move Carlos on and replace him with someone younger and less wages.

Nottingham Forest seem to be getting him. £13m was their initial bid so I’m guessing it’ll be around that number.

Yeah I think we're done in central midfield for now:

Kamara - 6
Onana - 6/8 hybrid
Tielemans - 8

With Barkley and Enzo covering and McGinn in emergencies.

Focus now will be on a 10 or ideally a 10/9 hybrid.

You may be right that Onana has been brought as the hybrid player and I know his stats are playing for a struggling side but his stats don't show him to be a good enough passer to be something other than a 6.

I’m thinking Barkley and Enzo will be the “hybrids”

Progressive passing is a big no no in dycheball, I suspect Onana will have much better passing stats this time next season.

Pick him up for a bargain price in January

Or see if they’ll sell us Jules Kounde. On a level with Konsa at RCB, equally good at RB.

I suspect better, but I doubt he will reach Luiz levels which we need for there not to be a drop off

Much better all round player than Luiz. Emery is nobody's fool.

I just have a gut feeling that Unai is going to turn Onana into a player worth almost double what we paid for him eventually.

All the raw attributes are there, look what he's done with much more! Physically " limited " players?

100% agree.

Emery improves every player
But he can't improve a players height, build, pace (not meaningfully)

It's noticeable that our signings starting January are generally bigger, faster and stronger than previously
