Never seen him play - Is he any good?

Very good.

But he's a left footed central defender, so seems a little strange if we have Pau, and mings is remotely fit.

More likely to mean one or both of Digne and Moreno leaving imo.

We may alternate sides when it comes to defending/attacking ala Konsa at RB, Maatsen attacking on left, or Hermoso on Left, Cash/KKH or new RB attacking on right?

Or even 3 at the back?

Or just quality in depth, and may the best man win the starting spot etc.

According to his immediate surroundings? So trees and lampposts are leaking info to the press?

Walls have ears, everyone knows that.

Also gives us option to play 4 CBs which also seems to be in vogue with top sides.

Allows you to really bomb on with everyone else then.

Helpful he can play at left back as well, we're short there.

Unai loves a left footer.

Fully expect us to sign a more attacking right back (similar to Maatsen) if Hermoso comes in. Hermoso then covers Torres and Maatsen and we have the ability to also attack from right back depending on who we’re playing.

Against lesser sides we could see…

Maatsen-Torres-Konsa-AttackingRB

Against the rest, we could see…

Maatsen-Torres-Carlos-Konsa

(Imagine Carlos will be replaced with somebody better).

Either way, Hermoso and a new attacking right back changes how we can play and gives us plenty of options.

Fully expect the club will try to shift Digne, Moreno, Cash and Carlos. Or at least 3 of the 4.

How about Frimpong. Not seen him linked to anyone. Friends with Diaby and Maatsen. Easy move to make?

We’d need that double pivot to be VERY defensive if we had Maatsen and Frimpong as fullbacks. We’d be conceding 3 every game (but scoring 5 so all good).
