After reading the FFP thread I think we should tone down any expectations of player purchase activity. Boy does this suck

Yeh kind of getting sick of it all.  Should be one of the most exciting seasons in years but feels like we're just going to be held back.

Was he ever much good? Vastly over priced, presumably due to corruption, when he signed for Athletico. Decent player, but not worth big money.

His stock has massively fallen.

Agree if price was right i wouldnt say no but he will be too expensive

Wouldn't be suprised if he rocked up at Newcastle

It's beginning to feel like the value clubs are paying for players is irrelevant at this point. The total fee is only serving to balance the books now and has no bearing on what the player is actually worth.

Agreed. Personally I feel all transfers should be undisclosed fees (not leaked to media). Then we can just enjoy signing a good player or two! It would also stop all the guesswork around FFP until the accounts came out. Leave it to the club to sort 😀

We haven't announced Iling-Junior and Enzo yet have we? Did we complete Dougie last minute on the 30th June and then complete those 2 today so they're in this FY? Considering the minimal amortization that would cost us we'd have to be pretty close to the PSR line if that's the case.

Hopefully it's just taken a little while to get our deals ratified again, like Archer/Ramsey last year and we aren't £s away from the line.

All deals are done. The announcements are staggered for social media impact. Having 1 huge day of all the announcements isn’t as clouty as having 3 days worth
