Yep, it’s always been about Koopmeiners.  I’m guessing if anything it’s just Juve pretending to play the field to get a deal on him.  Dougie’s name is just been floated to pressure to get the Koopmeiners deal done.

So if recent rumours are to be believed we’ll possible sign Gallagher, McKennie and Barkley and lose Douglas Luiz, with an outlay of approximately £15m ish. Gallagher isn’t a million miles away from Luiz currently, and we’ll have so much more depth, plus we’ll probably be better off in terms of PSR too because the Dougie sale will practically be all profit on the books because he’s been here so long. It’s not as mad as it sounds in my opinion.

Yeah but we keep talking as if this is the only business we will be doing.

The team may even change dynamic somewhat and become more well rounded.

Also, we don't even know if we are doing this at all.

Gallagher could be totally independent of Luiz.

It could be Gallagher for Duran.

Then Barkley plus Soule for arguments sake.

Or it could be Doug out, Soule, Gallagher, Barkley and McKennie in, we just don't know.

Also keep note that in one of Unais interviews, whilst referencing PSR.

He said we had to be Cognicant of FFP and respect it but sometimes you can't just sell a player to have money in the bank because it could set you back.

Even though stats show they’re pretty comparable in most matrixes I don’t wanna sell and would rather we sold one of  Konsa or McGinn first if we’ve gotta sell anyone … that being said if we can get Hjulmand , Gallagher and Soule for the cost of selling Luiz then so be it …

I have been quiet today but I just want to say a few things.

If Luiz won't sign a new deal it would be a good idea to sell him, if he will sign a new deal I wouldn't sell him. 
I see some people saying they would sell him for various reasons but mine is clear, I like to build up from the back and solve problems from that end of the pitch before working my way up to the front 2 or 3 which tend to be the more expensive players anyway. I also think this is where our weakness' are anyway. We have a good first team midfield that is capable of controlling games for the first time in years Luiz is a big part of that.

If we do sell him it isn't going to be for 40m plus weston McKennie that much is for sure, I don't know why anyone on here would pay credence to that. The guy is at an absolute MINIMUM a 70m pound player who will be coveted by the genuinely elite clubs in European football.

If he is sold for say 85m (half way between 70 and 100) then it isn't the end of the world, it doesn't mean we have 85m to replace him as that isn't how FFP works it would be more likely to be over 200m as our owners have seemingly only limited themselves by FFP so far and have put the cash in.

That's all I have to say, it is so early the window isn't even open yet, calm down.
