His luxury is being surrounded by talent. And that can make it so his growth is manageable. But people are going to pay attention to him now. 

You say people,.it's 11 versus 11 and when you have players like Ollie, Bailey , Ramsey and Rogers all needing attention teams become overloaded. 

If I was an opposition fan I would be very wary of Rogers, he's shown enough to indicate that there is a very affective player who needs a break through game to announce himself.

I have seen enough,  he's gonna be very special, maybe our best outfield player. That was my worry with Felix, Rogers would be sidelined

Oh absolutely, we agree. There is talent around him and that helps a ton. And, those guys have all had to up THEIR games so they can provide advice on how to do it.

Think JJ is gonna be great for us this season.

I prefer Leon wide.

Remember SS is where he actually struggled most initially.

Then again, the Leon of last season is a totally different one to the one which struggled.

He can definitely pick locks but even when he does that it usually involves him running from deep or wide and going off on one

So I agree that we need a specialist in the area to allow Leon to be where he specialises.

Maybe not the best comparison but I'd say it's similar to Konsa at RB, he can go it quite well but it but it doesn't get the best out of him

I see the current creative boys growing in stature and improving their status, I don’t want to see that incremental progress inhibited.

I can also see Kamara playing alongside Onana and Tielemans playing in the 3in the front……depending on opposition, so he can be creative too.

I think we have enough creativity……a quality right back, with the versatility to play CB would be nifty.

We have to be mindful of keeping a big squad happy and motivated.

 

 

 

 

 

I see your POV regarding our creative options. However, I’m still not quite convinced we have that out and out no.10 who can keep the ball in tight spaces and consistently provide that flair/creative quality against a low block opponent. Rogers is more of a direct runner with the ball as opposed to the ‘lock picker’ type player I think we lack. 
 

Clearly, he could become that along with Youri and even Buendia and that there reveals the issue we would have with signing the no10 I think we need - not enough squad space when defence is prob as much of a priority. 
 

in a perfect world I think UE would like that creative top level player plus a CB/RB but we are severely hamstrung by the difficulty in shifting the likes of Carlos and Dendoncker as well as squad size and SCR. 

Such a difficult balancing act this squad building process!…..and that’s why it takes multiple windows to get close to where the manager wants to be.

What we lack is someone who can do it to an elite level on the edge of, and around, the box.

I guess my point is, tielemans, Buendia, Barkley etc are all players who are exceptional at through balls in to space, splitting defensive lines or players running on to their through balls etc, but thats usually when we have space in behind, we dont really have the players who can do it in tight spaces/congested areas, and we will probably see a lot more of that this season, compared to last year, or recent years.
