Rodders
It helps when the opposition seem.happy for him to walk all the way up the pitch, but he made some good stops and looked confident. Happy if he's no. 2
Rich192
Very good tonight. I still feel he'd be best off getting a season of first team football on loan whilst Olsen's contract runs down, and he can seamlessly take over as number 2 next season.
May-Z
Very good in possession. Calm when playing through lines of the press, for short passes and longer balls. Calm again when taking the ball as it rolls across the face of goal in the six yard box. Quite impressed actually. Gave the defence much more confidence than they have with Olsen.
DJBOB
At times, Bilbao were content to let him walk it up but they did put us under pressure a fair number of times and he played the correct passes under pressure. A training scenario doesn’t equal the regular tempo of a real match but even Olsen has never looked that comfortable in a preseason match on the ball. Enda
Worth mentioning that he was on the bench ahead of Olsen yesterday. Well done Joe.
