Some of his long balls went all the way outback, but he looked great when he kept it Down Under.

Dr Gauci's distribution, much like his COVID vaccine, ensured that he reached as many people as possible, far and wide.

lexicon
Bad game for him - nothing really went right save for being decent enough on the ball.
Avcol
Surprised by how poor he looked. Screaming for him to come out for their second goal and thought he was flat footed and could've saved the third too.
OutByEaster? Posted July 28 Moderator Share Posted July 28 Some of his distribution was very good, some of his goalkeeping less so. Plenty to learn from tonight.

Ponky
Of the 3 he conceded today, Emi saves the one on one. The other two, I'm not so sure.

You're probably right on that - probably the more concerning thing for him is that of the three he concedes tonight, I think Olsen saves the one on one.

Greenfly
I think some of us are putting a little bit too much pressure on him going straight in as our backup. He's got what it takes I'm sure, but he isn't there yet.

I fathom he is an Ozzie of Maltese origin (lots of us out there) given his surname. It’s pronounced “Gao-chi”, if that helps.

The_Steve
Tbh, it’s a friendly, I’m not rushing off my line to risk a potential injury, but I do also think he’s slow to react. He will learn from it.

Frankly even emi would have struggled to save that. Torres is so badly beaten the man is essentially on the D with the ability to go front or near post. It's basically a shooting drill. Gauci can't hedge one way or the other lest he be beaten with a simple pass into the back of the net. If torres was even in the picture Gauci can be further over on his near post to make the save. As torres will likely block a shot across goal.
MachoFantastico
Certainly wouldn't judge a player by one single game, especially a friendly.
