Nothing to do with Israel. He is currently under police investigation for the incident. I know. You don't think it's possible that they would use any reason to bin off someone they felt might embarrass the organisation?

Wait, so you think that the organisers of Eurovision have found a female member of the (presumably Swedish) tv production crew to make a false allegation to the Police in order to have the Netherlands entry disqualified in case he says something about Israel on live TV? You don’t think there's easier ways of doing this?

Being investigated by the police for an incident that happened at the event is a pretty good reason to disqualify I'd say. You'd rather have the female member of staff continue to have to work in that environment? Have a word with yourself and just think about what you’re saying. I just don't believe it beyond the realm of doubt that the organisation might have acted harshly to any issue to get rid of a problem.

Yes they’ve banned him from the competition for that reason and not because the staff member (and the rest of the production team) should feel safe in her/their work environment. sne
Ireland, Switzerland and Greece were absent from the artist presentation ahead of the Eurovision dress rehearsal on Saturday afternoon. Irish Bambi Thug explains that it was a protest and an attempt to get the EBU's attention. In an interview with Irish RTE, she says she wants Israel excluded. French artist stopped mid rehearsal to hold a speech for peace. Turning into a bit of a mess for EBU this. As expected.
Chindie Posted May 11 VT Supporter Share Posted May 11 The Israeli delegation has been attacking some acts online, notably the Irish act. There's also supposedly been unauthorised filming by the Israeli broadcaster of some of the acts which has lead to complaints and requests they are disqualified. sne
Quote AvroTros: 'Joost was filmed against agreements, after which the singer made a threatening movement' Joost only made 'a threatening movement' towards a camera and did not hit anyone. This is what broadcaster AvroTros said in a response to the disqualification of the Dutch Eurovision Song Contest entry. The broadcaster said it proposed 'various solutions' to organizer EBU, but the latter decided to disqualify Klein. "An incident occurred after last Thursday's performance. Against clear agreements, Joost was filmed when he had just gotten off stage and had to rush to the greenroom," the broadcaster writes. "At that moment, Joost repeatedly indicated that he did not want to be filmed. This was not responded to. This led to a threatening movement from Joost towards the camera. Joost did not touch the camera woman." The incident was reported and the police launched an investigation. It was announced on Saturday that Klein will not be allowed to participate in Saturday evening's final. "AvroTros finds the measure very heavy and disproportionate. We stand for good manners, let there be no misunderstanding about that, but in our view an exclusion measure is disproportionate to this incident," said the broadcaster, who said "very disappointed and upset", also for the millions of fans. "What Joost brought to the Netherlands and Europe should not have ended this way." The police investigation in Malmö has now been completed. This now lies with the Public Prosecution Service of Sweden, which is further investigating whether Klein will be prosecuted. The investigation will take a few weeks, a police spokesperson said. https://www.telegraaf.nl/entertainment/1110362200/live-zweedse-omroep-ebu-houdt-crisisoverleg-na-diskwalificatie-joost-klein
