villa4europe
That's still quite small venues, I thought they'd be stepping up to the nia

OutByEaster? Posted April 23 Moderator Share Posted April 23 I'm liking Bodega - they have a sort of early REM feel about them - I've no idea how 'new' they are, but I started hearing them this year, so I'm counting them.

Loved their last few albums and the new one is growing on me fast. Seeing them play in Birmingham in October.

GarethRDR
Completely bloody passed me by that a) there's new Bat For Lashes due at the end of next month and b) she's touring. Just managed to grab one of the remaining cheap saets for the Barbican show in June, finally ticking 'em off my to-see-list. maqroll
I never knew that Willow Smith is a really talented artist. The musicianship of her mostly female band is excellent, particularly the bass player. I'm not sure this will get much radio play because it's not musical fast food. I don't really know what the hell she's singing about, but it doesn't matter. It sounds fresh, original and honest. If an album has two great songs, it's a winner in my book and her new album has two great ones.
Guest
New Falling in Reverse out now. It's a banger, and the music video is epic.

Mark Albrighton Posted May 17 VT Supporter Share Posted May 17 Three months after it being released I have finally got round to listening to the last dinner party’s debut. Blimey, it’s rather good isn’t it? It’s been on twice today already. Probably be a third time before the day is out.
GarethRDR
Popped down to Camden yesterday for just the one day of DesertFest (sludge and stoner stuff doesn't tend be massively my thing, but Maserati were headlining the Underworld and I never not go see Maserati when there's a chance), in doing my homework on the other bands I'd be seeing I've now come away with two newbies for this thread: Both of these were absolutely whopping live, particularly SUNNATA, who I think are back over here later this year. Definitely recommend catching if this sort of thing is your bag, baby.
