We need different threats and strengths in the team to help the smaller lads as well. Its gonna be good for morale to look around and see a large one in the dressing room. They might have cut some scenes, but not ashamed to say he got a couple of those quicker than me! Another example of the club pushing out content that clearly indicates he's going to be heavily involved in the first team.

Reivax_Villa
Very very interesting.. He has been signed as a number 8.. Like a Ruben Loftus Cheek type of player.. To be fair Unai has always liked his 6’2 plus CM players like Capoue & Nzonzi.. Maybe he is trying to replicate something similar?

I'd honestly love to know an example All chants start at away games. As was ever thus.

Always thought that's how stalwarts like Martinez and Watkins and even Luiz ever up without a proper song. Covid robbed those committed grizzled away fans of seeing some great football live in the first 12 months after they joined.

Yes, be a good number 8 driving forward. Probably play as an alternative to JJ in that kind of position.
useless
When Emery says an 'eight', he means the position Jacon Ramsey plays, as he's essentially an eight playing wide, Ramsey isn't a winger, the sense that Bailey and Diaby are when they play wide, he's a wide mifielder. Also his exact words after declaring that Rogers could play as an eight or ten, were 'he can even play as a striker I believe', which doesn't really suggest he was bought with playing upfront particularly in mind, more just an option, if the need arises. Not wide players perse, he loves them! He just wants to sign them as use them as a striker or narrow 10. No doubt if we get Champions League we'll be back in for Nico W from Bilbao. theboyangel
I’m guessing he’ll get some minutes tomorrow evening for us. Hopefully the game will be sewn up by then and he can have a relaxed debut with no pressure to influence the game.
