duke313 Posted Monday at 12:14 Share Posted Monday at 12:14 If he can't be trusted to start against a newly promoted team so you can play your first choice CB partnership, when can he be trusted?

Probably in ~18 months time. He's 18. He wasn't bought to be a starter this season. Edited Monday at 12:16 by villa89

Nobody said he was brought in to be a starter. He was kept with the squad to be backup RB, we now have a legitimate reason to play him as our first choice RB is out injured. If he's too young to be trusted then he should have been loaned out.
mjmooney Posted Wednesday at 10:29 VT Supporter Share Posted Wednesday at 10:29 I wonder if Unai is Looking Him In The Eye™ and asking him if he's up for this?

He was trusted to come on v Arsenal to play 70 minutes. There was clearly something in that game that Unai didn't like hence we haven't played him in the prem since. Let's hope six weeks on the training ground have put that right, I'd start him tonight and v Man. United just to give us more balance and make us stronger centrally.
