mjmooney Posted February 20 VT Supporter Share Posted February 20 Fans of the superb German drama series 'Heimat' (probably just me, then) will remember the character Gunnar Brehme, who was obsessed with his namesake, and always wore a Brehme WG shirt. I think you may well have encapsulated it quite well.
Mark Albrighton Posted February 22 VT Supporter Share Posted February 22 Never seen Porkys. It’s not like I’ve actively sought out to watch it. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen shown on (terrestrial) tv. To be honest I don’t know if it’s something that would be shown. It’s never been obvious to me how raunchy the comedy is, I’ve always assumed it’s something like American Pie but with a sort of Animal House aesthetic. Yep, definite precursor to American Pie with a lower much budget @chrisp65sums it up perfectly

Always kind of associate it with Animal House, same kind of time (a couple of years earlier but on video at the same time) and same type of teenager vibe and also the Kentucky Fried Movie (catholic hi school girls in trouble) Edited February 22 by Follyfoot
