Eastie
Seems the training tops are slim fit but the polo shirts when available will be regular fit .
wedge
I've gone for my usual size for the authentic/pro version of the away shirt, is that a mistake? Should I have sized up?

Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted August 16 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted August 16 Went to the store today, and it's great, well finished despite the rush, with some really nice features, loads of stuff in stock and lots of very helpful people to assist you with it. Bought a home kit for my nephew and a Champions league patch and he loves it, it fits well, feels good quality and looks brilliant. The away kit also looks really good and I like the choice between the league and cup numbers/names. training gear was hit and miss for me but he saw stuff he liked. I think there just needs to be a bit more stuff that's not kit or training gear - the sort of leisure and t-shirt stuff and we're good to go. He also loved the free photoshoot thing they were doing where they took a picture of you in your new kit and printed you a copy off, that made his day. Some of the detail; the statue, the history corridor and the shirts in the floor were a really nice touch and there seems to have been a lot of decent thinking on quality details despite them having been absolutely up against it to get the store open whilst half of the building around it is still a building site. Grumbles - I found a rack of shirts priced at £80 and couldn't figure out why they weren't the same price as the ones opposite that were £105 - I asked a sensible looking chap who worked there, who very politely said Oops and removed the whole rack - but that's what you'd expect on an opening day I think. The tills are in Euros which looks a bit strange, although the values are in pounds and the queue for printing was around 50 minutes while I was there. Important grumble - they've spelt Allan Evans name wrong on the brick statue - sigh. Overall though, this is a really nice store, there's a load more space, lots of stock, really helpful staff and just a much better experience - I think phase 2 adds even more space (upstairs?) and will make this even better - on matchdays it'll be so much better than the scrum we had before and I have a feeling it'll make a fortune. Excellent work. 4
thabucks
@OutByEaster? Has phase two started as I cannot wait to see the screen lit up and in full effect - especially at night games Edited August 16 by thabucks
OutByEaster? Posted August 16 Moderator Share Posted August 16 Also, and I guess this is a question for those that have had a good look at both is the neck detail the same on the home kits as the away kits? Specifically is the detailing where the stripes go all the way around the back of the neck on the replica away shirt but not on the 'authentic' away shirt the same on the home kits? (I can't look on the website as they don't have any 'authentic' home kits left on there). If it is the same, then strangely our U21's wore a replica kit tonight rather than an authentic kit. Which would mean that the cheaper replica kits are a better replica of the authentic kits than the authentic kits.
OutByEaster? Posted August 16 Moderator Share Posted August 16 Just now, thabucks said: @OutByEaster? Has phase two started ? I don't think it was originally planned as two phases - the work is ongoing and there were workers passing through and around the shop during the time I was there - they're up on the roof and around the outside of the building as its transformation continues. I think the original timeframes for completing the project were challenging and the club made the very sensible decision to prioritise opening the shop rather than trying to finish everything at once - the shop is really good and it takes the pressure off them a bit in terms of finishing the rest of the building.

Seems like the club have finally got a load of different lines, multiple mugs rather than just 1 or 2, loads of scarves, I'd then guess several hats etc just lots of everything...cant buy any of it online... When I placed my shirt order I wanted 2 car mirror air fresheners, haven't got any, I wanted a mug for work as my old one got nicked, haven't got any It's shite

Yes - this was one of the differences that @NurembergVillan covered in his review of the home shirts.
