OutByEaster? Posted December 2, 2023 Moderator Share Posted December 2, 2023 It's tomorrow lunchtime on the BBC. It's got me thinking about our priorities this year and the workload on our fairly small squad. I love the FA Cup, it's important and the third round is a great part of why football in this country can be great at times, but I'm caught in two minds. Would you prefer: A really weak team at Villa Park, giving us a chance to progress. A strong team away so that we can quietly shuffle out of the competition and concentrate on Europe and the League. We're ball number 3.
Popular Post bannedfromHandV
Well, we got the easy team at home last season and totally balls’d it up so at this stage I’m not sure I care who we draw

turvontour
Could do with Port Vale doing us a favour and knocking out Stevenage today. The only team I fear in the draw.
May-Z
I'm always of the opinion we should always look for the easiest draw possible...so someone like Stevenage at home would be great

I don't think it is in Unai's mindset to let us quietly shuffle out of the compeitition (even if to a strong team away) as you can tell from his interviews the league cup defeat to Everton still annoys him. Mantis
Tbf Stevenage last season was a total fluke. I'm confident that we'd get through a similar sort of draw this season.
DakotaVilla
The easiest home draw possible in every round and then the final could be the cherry on the top of an amazing season.

Rodders
Home draw but this time with a manager who knows who he can and can't trust we should be fine. The stevenage debacle and then the Everton **** up this year means we know dendonker or Chambers won't be available to screw it up this time. I want a cup run please
