Haas assets unable to leave the Netherlands without payment to former sponsor

Haas is at the centre of legal trouble with former F1 sponsor Uralkali, who is demanding money to be payed back after the contract between the pair was terminated in 2022.

The assets of the Haas F1 team, including the cars, motorhome and racing equipment, are unable to leave the Netherlands unless the team pays its former sponsor Uralkali.

RacingNews365 confirmed the ex-sponsor entered the paddock on Thursday at Zandvoort seeking payment from Haas after asking a Dutch court to seize its F1 cars and spare parts.

Uralkali was dropped as Haas' title sponsor before the 2022 campaign following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, however Uralkali had already paid a bulk of the money before the contract was terminated.

The money was not handed back, with Uralkali winning its case in court when a Swiss arbitration agency ruled in its favour.

Yet again the race here is incredibly boring.

It’s the worst track on the calendar. Monaco but without any glamour.

It’s only been brought back for Max

McLaren are nailed on for the constructors.

But today should have been an easy 1-2 with Max in third, but McLaren f*cked the strategy for him.

And if Norris is going to win the drivers, they need Piastri to beating Max practically every race.

The constructors is a guarantee for McLaren now.

I still reckon Max will just hold on to the title but it's going to be very close come Abu Dhabi.

Nah Lando needs Max to DNF a couple of times and it isn’t going to happen

9 races left along with 3 sprints. It's possible to still win it with no Max DNF's. But McLaren have got to nail their strategy with Piastri especially to make sure that on tracks where they dominate it's a 1-2.

And there's races where Red Bull are going to struggle, especially Singapore.

It's going to be very very close.

Lewis was 30 points behind with 4 races and 1 sprint left in 2021 and would have won without Michael Masi.
