chelsea v brighton

newcastle v chelsea

brentford v arsenal

good that 3 of those 6 are going out plus plenty of lower league sides definitely in the hat for the 4th round. we need to be targeting this one

Got to be happy with that.

O.k we won't play as strong a team as we did in the league but likes of Moreno and Ramsey could be fit by then so imagine they'll be starting and someone like Dendoncker will be fine v their units in midfield.

Lenglet will also play if we sign him.

Plenty of all prem ties so at early stage some favourites will be going out I think.

Can certainly see Brentford turning over Arsenal.

Could see Palace holding Man. United to penalties aswell.

brentford will go strong for it. zero chance of relegation and probably not good enough to push for europe, so they would want to go for it you'd think

Chelsea & Brighton in the league,  either side of that. Good job that Villa have a strong squad and manager.

It's fixed for the Wednesday night then as Chelsea goes to early Sunday kick off and then we play Brighton at half 12 on the Saturday.

3 games in six days, it's what this season is all about and we've had months to plan for it.

Fulham v Norwich

You may not think that one is particularly notable, but those two clubs have been kinda orbiting each other for several seasons now. One promoted, the other relegated, then the following season they swap again. Until last season when they both decided to break the pattern.

First time they’ll have played each other in over 5 years.

As for Villa - Everton, yeah most played league fixture etc etc…but we haven’t played them in a cup game for ages. The last time appears to be the FA cup 5th round in 2009. Last league cup meeting seems to be the two legged semi final in 1984.

Everton ultimately prevailed in both instances.
