Maybe they need to rely on the youth more and make better selections, although they’ve lost some good options due to injury and bans. No inspirational figures like Chiellini and Bonucci…or technicians like Verratti. They actually played good football under Mancini but things turned sour and losing his assistant & best mate (Vialli, to cancer) must have affected him… Only players that came out with any credit are Donnarumma, Bastoni and Calafiori.
