When are they announcing this f*****g badge?! Fed up of my timeline being swamped with mock ups and speculation. Just announce it so we can have the meltdown and the crack on with the rest of the season.

Looks more detailed, but still too much blue. It isn't Unai Emery pale blue and gold army.

Finally somebody understands me!

Who was that Leeds fan who pranked an entire fanbase with the Grealish staying prank a few years ago? CJ-something

This will be a bigger prank than that if it's not real.

CJ Golson! He had me for about 2 hours.

Looking at the people who contributed these vectors and the other things they have contributed, Lee has found a giant nothing burger. This is not where our lions came from.

An internationally renowned company like Dragon Rouge isn't going to just grab a vector lion off Shutterstock. Thought someone with his experience would know better and maybe dig a little deeper.

Hmmm. Interesting. Lee doing a hatchet job on Heck?

So, Spurs are still the bench mark on how to do a classy rebrand whereas we, er, have room to improve!

Don't worry, we'll have another go next year.

Deliberately misleading tweet.

He knows (as he details later on) - as should most fans - that this lion was created for Villa on a bespoke basis by a wood carver back in 2015.

All sorts of things end up on Shutterstock as royalty-free graphics, it's not hard to extract elements from HQ images online and upload them individually in the public domain. What this expressly doesn't mean is that the club (or Dragon Rouge in the case of the round badge for that matter), turned around and just lifted a random stock image of a lion to slap on the crest.

It's not hard to make the club look lazy over this latest badge revamp. Why someone who is supposedly a fan (and a graphic designer) would go out of their way with a disingenuous attempt like this is beyond me.

The same person who published the Villa lion has also published Spurs' rooster, Arsenal's cannon, and most impressive of all the double-headed eagle on the Albanian flag. Either the account is just stealing stuff or we've stumbled upon the most bizarre plagiarism conspiracy of all time

His second tweet in that thread literally says it could have been taken from our badges and put onto Shutterstock
