Hmm, we are fortunate our owners are willing to fund the club through equity rather than debt. If they weren’t, we wouldn’t be able to sustain our model. Brightons is sustainable, albeit relies on player sales, and the debt as far as I am aware is owed to the owner. It is hard to judge though given it seems both clubs have different ambitions.

The combination of PSR and SCR is especially harsh on clubs like ourselves Brighton and Newcastle who want Europe but don’t have a strong recent record.

You don't stumble on success, we are a perfect example of how that just doesn't happen, won the league when?

Do you think their sponsorship deals will continue without success? I don't,  why would they, if they can get a champions league team with some great English players in it, a big international profile (its coming, kit launch figures) and for less money.

Sponsors aren't fans, there business led and less money for more success and less chaos makes good business sense.

Yes, providing the brand is popular. Spurs are the anti-success brand and are worth hundreds of millions. But they are a London club which is a massive advanage.

It's only a massive advantage for tourist fans attending matches. More money is generated with branding and advertising.  Manchester and Liverpool are both commercially successful, there not in London.

There's has never been a better time to build a football brand and we're in a perfect position to do it.

Yeah but they actually win stuff. I am just saying it is not beyond the realms of our ambition to finish top 4/6 like Spurs regularly and perhaps hope to see similar revenue streams.

How can a hearing that starts on Monday have gone well for them before it's happened?

You’ve got the hearings mixed up, this is the City challenge against APT rules, City are arguing that APT rules breach UK Competition Law and has nothing to do with the 115 charges.

City win the APT case it could loosen the financial shackles around City, NUFC and possibly Villa.
