If not one of the so called big 6, surely it should be everyone's supposed second team Newcastle. . They will be so thrilled to see Spurs in 4th though. Sickening. They all love big Ange so much too Sorry but this is absolute bollocks. The media have been praising us all season and have constantly ridiculed Spurs for years because they wont win anything with talented teams. But by all means play the victim card if you like. Everyone's out to get Aston Villa. We're turning into Liverpool fans it seems.

And yet they're above us with a game in hand and superior goal difference.

But its their game in hand so if they win that they are 3 points ahead with a far superior GD.

R.Bear
2 minutes ago, Keyblade said: Wasn't this the second time all season we've dropped points from a winning position? We're literally the most resolute team in the league in this regard. We had a chance to go top at Xmas and failed to beat bottom of the league at home, scraping a last minute draw we didnt deserve. We had a chance to make a statement win against Spurs at home and got thrashed. We had a chance to put the pressure on Spurs by playing before them and bottled a 2-0 lead. We're mentally fragile in big games.

"Do you want to bet against us?" We're in poor form for sure and can't select consistently because of injuries and suspensions and we do look fragile. Looks unlikely at the moment, but it's really all up for grabs.

duke313
5th is all but secure, 4th not in our hands. Let’s focus on winning a trophy, something Spurs fans can only dream of.

allani
2 minutes ago, Tom13 said: And yet they're above us with a game in hand and superior goal difference. The post implied that we're mentally not as strong as them and that they wouldn't throw away 2 points against a team like Brentford. Which the facts don't support. I think we're pretty equal - we'll look invincible one match, less so the next. They are probably just about favourites for 4th at the moment but that could change next week or the week after.

Yeah that’s factoring in the entire season. If you isolate our recent form which is more important to what will happen over the next 8 games then it is a concern. First 18 games (up to Man U collapse) we scored 38 and gave up 22 In the 14 since then we’ve scored 26 and given up 27. Is that not something to worry about? useless
If we were in Spurs position and they ours can pretty much guarantee people would be saying that they're favorites for fouth because we could only take one point from Fulham and West Ham so haven't gained enough of an advantage over them going into Newcastle, Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, and Man City

Mark Albrighton Posted April 7 VT Supporter Share Posted April 7 (edited) 4 minutes ago, Pongo Waring said: Go on give it a guess for us Maybe 10 points. 3 wins and a draw from Bournemouth, Chelsea, Brighton and Palace. Mainly because while I would put us favourites for each game, I don’t think we’ll win all of them. We (likely) miss out on fourth on goal difference if that happens. Unless Chelsea or Newcastle do better than I anticipate, which I guess there’s a reasonable chance, but I’m erring on the side that says Spurs will pick up 4 from those.
