As far as I know this has never been set up as a contract to bid for. It’s amateur stuff really. WHAT?! Holy shit no wonder it's a mess. I've worked managing facilties from military, prisons etc for years. It's not hard. It is clearly not being looked after. That is villa park and you can only assume Bodymoor and the new property in Aston as well. It's completely unprofessional. The tone and direction of the business is set from the top. All these issues are a result of an attitude since Heck walked in of a growing culture of disdain for your legacy fan. We are his customers (I’m not even going to offend anyone’s intelligence to suggest that he treats us as fans) and are literally his single biggest stakeholders. It’s his job to build and run a team that basically extracts as much money from us as possible. It’s a terrible, terrible look when you’re blocking your customers on X for the audacity of questioning why they should pay you circa 1k a season ticket (and the rest for shirts and all the other sponsors merch etc) for the privilege of having to walking around in hundreds of other blokes’ piss to stop you from having to piss yourself in public. He’s done lots of good in other areas but to continually shit the bed with your largest, longest serving and most vocal group of customers is beginning to look a lot like he just doesn’t give a damn and that regular season ticket holders are actually an inconvenience. Reality is these are the same issues that people have been complaining about for years. People really aren’t asking for much: - Decent food options; - Decent drink options; - Quick service; - The ability to urinate safely and hygienically, - The ability to enter the ground within a reasonable period of time. - season tickets for seats that actually exist. It’s an utter, utter disgrace that we’re still talking about these being aspirational requests from supporters of a champions league team in 2024. His problem here is that, as I said yesterday, his approach since he arrived has been the opposite of Emery. He hasn't brought fans with him. In fact, he has been like a politician burning through their political capital. And he isn't shy about taking the credit for things which I am sure are much easier as a team offering European football than they were as a promoted team trying to stay up. That's not how management works. He's in charge of the guy supposed to be sorting these issues. These issues have been going on for some time. He's not sacked or got his employee in line. I’m not calling for his head, I get his remit but he is out of touch with the fan experience and it shows. Which put all effort and expenditure into non General Admission stuff - seemingly at the expense of routine maintenance.
