Great news they’ve backed down.  Disappointed the backlash had to happen for them to realise it’s not acceptable.  Hopefully Heck learns from this!

They've only backed down a bit though, haven't they. The reduction only applies to people who have booked for the season already.

Gone back to last year prices, idiots for even putting it up in the 1st place

What is the point of even suggesting it for crying out loud causing upset that some fans might not be able to afford to make games. This is messing with people it's wrong on every level.

Ticket prices the same thing let's say they drop prices which is a big if what will be the response " Sorry we got it wrong we messed up" no just no think about the fans don't divide from us for something to keep them entertained I've seen a nasty side to this club and it stems from a minority, if the decision has been ordered by Heck he has to leave the club it's beyond messing up.

This is our villa we stay to the end highs and lows have your fun or whatever sick game this is but the fans will still be here long after Heck gets out. UTV

It should be free from the start!

But stop and think about that for a minute

How many disabled seats are there in villa park? There 114 wheelchair access seats, there are then 264 easy access seats, there are then sensory areas in the ground, then areas and amenities for visually and gearing impaired fans

Then how many disabled parking bays are there? 155

There's not enough for them to be free, that's the simple answer

As I said before. Take your American view of the bastardisation and destruction of local communities supporting their teams in the endless pursuit of commercial gain and shove it where the sun does not shine.

If that’s the future then I will have no stake in it.

The commercialisation of the game has already happened buddy.

Fair enough.

How does this explain the parking charges? That has nothing to do with football.

It doesn’t as that’s just plain baffling but having worked both in football and industries run by bean counters they make decisions based on excel out of touch with reality

And to be fair that's only the disabled seating, I'd guess there's a fair few people who just sit in the regular seats but need a cane or are old or have the blue parking badge and use that car park, there's potentially a lot of people who want those spaces

What I haven't seen anyone say is how much the regular parking bays are there? Guessing the same?

They should at least be cheaper

All the great stuff villa did to get 4th imo has been tarnished by the last few days actions, all the reaction to champions league prices and then this parking fiasco has put villa in people's conversations for completely the wrong reason.

The guy trying to build the club is destroying it with his stupid greedy ideas.

It hasn't. It will blow over once the real footy is back.

Cheerio then 👋 but if you pay the price for a season ticket you are part of it 😂 Also it’s more than just my view it’s the reality of modern football. Don’t agree with it but also too late to bemoan and think you’re deluded to think otherwise. Good luck with your crusade but you’ve failed

My guy really said " the destruction of local communities"

🤦🏽‍♂️

It's clear this wasn't a mistake, due to the fact it happened two weeks ago, but only got press coverage today due to the other debacle they've created.

They've backtracked because they were caught.  Classic scumbag behaviour, and they're apologising, but they're not sorry or they'd have already fixed the issue before it was highlighted in the press.

100%. Moonwalked like Michael Jackson straight back to mid August

It's things like this that really undo any of the good that Heck does. He'd nearly got me back on side with the kit reveal, the branding being genuinely coherent and consistent across different media, and the latest sponsorship deals he'd signed.

His time at other clubs shows he won't care about the fans. He's not used to an English fanbase, and he's not seemingly learning quick enough to cope with this one.

Also they didn’t really fix the underlining problem of actually charging the disabled fans to park. They just rolled the price back to where it was.

meh, not cool
