I respect your opinion, however times change and we all have to make decisions on where we make our discretionary spending. My wife would like us to go out to a restaurant every week and spend $200 on a meal, I'd rather spend it on Villa shirts and going to see the Villa live in the new year.

$200 is not far off equivalent to what a lot of people will be paying for individual CL games, once booking fee is included and before paying for any additional tickets for the Mrs, kids etc.

Presumably you have relented on occasion and taken the Mrs for a $200 meal - when doing so, have you ever had to walk through puddles of other people's piss, found that the restaurant had run out of all food and drink options, got marked by wet paint and/or been told that your booking had been moved to a non-existant table?

Commercialisation is one thing.

What this business (not club) is doing to its most loyal customers (not fans) is another thing entirely.

That's the other sad reality of football

We need to grow the club massively and quickly

He's not going to do that with people who've been season ticket holders for 20+ years, he's not going to do that with people on here, he's already got us mugs in the bag

To your supply and demand is bullshit argument and to my discrimination argument. But both arguments are fundamentally different despite the overlaps. Neither arguments should be used for the other, because they’re fundamentally different issues.  One is about price gouging and the other is about basic access/discrimination

They’re really not different. I had a go at someone the other day for explaining supply and demand to everyone as if nobody knew what it was.

Maybe I was wrong

Obviously very pleasing to see this announcement. Call me cynical but has this reversal only happened because of the media exposure and public outrage?  At least it’s happened, they’ve apologised and credit for the club in doing so.

Yes, with my cynical head on they would have annoyed several organisations unrelated to football. Or they just realised and accepted they messed up.

I am very cynical though

It hasn't. It will blow over once the real footy is back.

I think that will to an extent be dependent on whether it comes back with 40,000 people singing "Get out of our club" in front of a live TV audience.

Stands a fair chance, he’s not exactly endearing himself to the great unwashed STH’s.

I fully agree with Simon Jordans line where it's only " Our Club " until things need to be paid for... then suddenly it's the " Owners Club " or in this case " Chris Hecks " club/fault.

Please don't try to muddle my comment with anything to do with disabled parking charges either.

Hopefully none of those fans celebrate if we score... or moan if we lose due to distraction.

There are better avenues to deal with this, than with these dramatics.

Some people deserve wholesome Nationwide Football where they can " Take the club back " and bring football back to it's essence as that is their main concern allegedly.

Obviously just my opinion and i'm open to being totally wrong in it.

I am not in favour of this…….encroaching on the game and causing discord. This is exactly what outsiders want. This should be sorted within our own circles, by grown up debate.

I am in favour of fan representative groups entering discourse with Chris Heck and attempting to put each others case forward and finding compromise.

There is simply too much we don’t know for sure and jumping to conclusions on that basis is unhelpful.

We have our agenda and he has his…..we need to get together and seek harmony.

The football has taken us ( After years of the doldrums) to another level, let’s not let that   Be marred by a dispute over prices and lack of communication.

Hopefully, we can both learn from each others positions.

Said with all the eloquence, class and common sense i was just too annoyed to conjure up.

THIS!
