Going to need John Nash to figure out Chelsea’s position with FFP at this rate.

Apparently they've brought in 250 mill in sales.

However, you would have thought that was just to offset the 600 mill they already spent last season? lol

Ah beaten to it above…

Off topic but they’ve sold well over £200 mill of players this summer … seeking mount & Loftus-Cheek is £75mill pure FFP profit. We need to get better at selling players for sure. I can see us cashing in on Digne & A.Ramsey if they meet our terms.

When they buy players for £600+ million the previous season and failed to get into CL, they are forced to sell players to avoid problem with FFP.

Pochettino want to reduce the squad down to 22-23 players, on their website they still have 40 senior players, so expect them to sell many more if they can.

We on the other hand don’t really need to sell. Of course if we can sell some players for more than what they are worth, if would generate extra income, and we could use that to buy even better players. But we are operating inside FFP and our squad is of a reasonable size, so we aren’t force to sell.

Tbf it’s Arsenal & Man Utd… AC Milan also but that doesn’t suit some posters narrative so blame the Saudis.

So…. they didn’t sell anyone at all to the Saudis and nothing dodgy or suspect at all is going on?

O…..K….

Think he means those clubs buying off Saudi FC A & B.

And it's a fair point. They have made legitimate money.

They've also cheated and been given £70m for Mendy, Koulibaly and Saint Maximin. In Mendy and Koul's case it's also about £50m saved in wages.

Fixed game.

Without derailing the thread they sold two players who were available at market rate taking a loss of over £10mill on Koubialy … what’s dodgy about that ? Isn’t Fabinho & Henderson’s move more dodgy or doesn’t that fit your conspiracy ? Is it suspect if we sell Digne and/or Bailey to the Saudi league ?

Saw a tenuous link to Sevilla and Argentina RB Gonzalo Montiel

Edit - and after googling him... no thanks

What put you off him?

Scores the winning penalty in a European Cup Final and a World Cup final. If nothing else the guy has balls of steel!

Edit : oh, just seen the news on him. Agree, no thanks.

Guess they may be referring to the sexual assault accusations …

Arsenal paid nearly double for Havertz what they got from the Saudi league. They only got 32 million for the 3 players that went to Saudi

See on BBC Gossip column Brighton being linked with Kristjan Asllani - 21 Albanian international from inter… Anyone familiar with Italian football care to give an assessment on him and if he’d improve us?

Looks like Inter only bought him this summer after having him on loan last season (probably one of those loan to buy deals)

Seems he really hasn't played many minutes for a 21 year old. Football Manager seems to think he has quite a bit of potential though 😅

Sure…

but are we ignoring Saudi involvement with Chelsea/Boehly and, of course, Newcastle?

No “convenient” deals?

Ah well… I’m not exactly invested but there is surely cause for suspicion…

Corruption is rife in football anyway…

Didn’t think I’d need to explain and be accused of an agenda… Saudi human rights, wealth etc. nor have people defending it…

Well… no point discussing it here anyway…

No stopping any of it anyway…

I think the Tyler Adams link has been complicated by his hamstring injury. He's been out for 5 months. You have to be some concern/caution due to an injury like that, especially if your game revolves around being an engine/workhorse.
