Im still not getting too attached as I reckon there will probably be a release clause in the contract that benefits the club & the player (& agent). I have no knowledge of that though, it's just my own personal thoughts. He certainly seems more settled though, & having several players around the squad his own age will be helping, as well as probably being told that he will be getting more minutes all season while we batted away that little porno dickhead with the shit Russian hat & his derisory bids during the summer. He seems to have adopted Baileys attitude from last season when he was coming from the bench, playing well, scoring goals, developing with an arm around his shoulder from Emery. I am over the moon that we told West Ham to f**k off. The way they do business is typical of that little cretin who owns them & from what it sounds like from Emery, we never had any interest in selling Duran to them, or anyone else during the summer. Not unless they came with stupid money bids & nobody did. So it feels nice to just leave Sullivan in the media mess that he made for himself as they ended up with 32 year old statue Fulkrug & Duran was banging them in from all angles. I said at the time that I wouldn't want to accept double what West Ham were allegedly offering & I stand by that today. Absolutely, as a teenager from the MLS you'd have to say he was on 30k/40k max, which was fair at the time. No doubt the London clubs were talking about doubling that at least.
