He clearly doesn't want to play second fiddle to Watkins

We just have to see where this goes.

But if he stays and things don't change in terms of regular game time we'll be having the same discussion in January

Where ever he moves to he's always going to have competition right?

When is he realistically gonna bench out Watkins though

That is the core of the dilemma here

Cup matches obvious starting point, but also if he shows good form I can see him starting some PL matches to keep Ollie fresh and he could also start in our CL campaign for the same reason. Ollie can't start 2 matches a week for the entire season.

Well Watkins and Haaland are the top 2 strikers in the league.

I think he'll have a decent shot at any other club

Clearly more than adequate back up. His antics is immaturity coupled with poor advice, but if he sees out his window he will get minutes and will demand minute's which I’m sure Emery will give him. Despite his petulance, Watkins is on notice.

Outstanding for 20y.o., seriously must be right up there in world football?

I personally don't see him staying.

May get another season out of him

All clubs have this issue though. Jesus eventually went because of Haaland. Alvarez too.

It isn't unique to us.

Good players don't play and get unhappy.

If he goes to West Ham he's got Antonio and the new German to compete with
If he goes Chelsea he got Jackson and the 20 other strikers they will sign to compete with

Maybe Emery will trust Duran more this season to go Watkins-Duran uptop in some games.

Sorry but he's not starting behind multiple more players than that

Jesus and Alvarez had earned their stripes, Duran hasn't. I get your point but the examples you are using are not helping your argument.

My point is only that players get unhappy when not playing and cup games ain't gonna cut it

Yes but my point is he hasn't proven anything yet and his impatience will probably hurt him more than us if he leaves.

Yes he did mostly from the bench, if he goes we will have a plan I'm sure. People were panicking over losing Diaby and Luiz's goals

We’d be mad to let him go unless we get a ridiculous offer and we have a replacement lined up.

He’s the perfect second striker. He’ll get games here.

Literally everyone except Jhon knows this. Even his mug agent telling him to leave.

We have to hope he develops brain cells as he matures.
