I don’t want him to have a new deal. I want him to show us this year before we even consider a new deal for him, if he was to stay at the club this summer.

I think the 30m with adds on that young player was a good offer. Now we are stuck with a unhappy duran and cant sign another until he goes because we will have four strikers As tempting as it is to comment, without knowing the full facts….may I suggest we trust the judgment and reputation of our highly rated management.

I don’t think all fans are that simple…..they/some might choose the silent and stoical, but short memories, we are not. He has a lot to redeem. thabucks
He isn’t the first and won’t be the last player to “disrespect” the club and i think his crossed hammers gesture needs to be seen for what it is - naive and misguided from a frustrated 20 year old - petulance. He hasn’t shat or pissed on the shirt. It’s not Aplay or Savo levels of fan disrespect. Benteke and Barry couldn’t wait get out of the club yet are remembered fondly by most. If he stays and knuckles down then great, or he gets sold on our terms only which is also great. It’s win win for us. tinker Posted August 1 VT Supporter Share Posted August 1 (edited) Let's not forget that we agreed a fee then they agreed terms with him, from Durans POV the deal was done and crossing his arms was done to show that the deal was done. West ham then chose to try and re negotiate the deal, we have been stitched and so has he. West Ham are being run like an end of high street porn shop, anywhere but there and if he stays bring him on for the final 20 minutes. Club like West Ham can’t afford to drop that much on a limited footballer with no resale value. Yeah being willing to pay that for a 31 year old but not Duran's asking price seems odd. Saying that they only ever seem to bid £5M below every teams asking price
NorthernGordon
To be fair to the lad, a bad attitude and trashing a hotel room is nothing compared to other Colombians of years gone by.... AVTuco Posted August 1 VT Supporter Share Posted August 1 I don't care what he's said or how his arms have been like during the summer. Just work hard and score goals. It'll make all of us forget.
