Keener window-cleaner Posted July 24 Share Posted July 24 Regarding inconsistency I'd say that's a common feature for flair players, not many of these maverics can produce magic every week, also other more nitty gritty type of players often go through spells of weaker form during a season. On top of that, I'd say that up until 23-25 you cant really expect a player to be perfectly consistant during a whole season. I would be happy for us to spend big on him and rotate him, not expect him to bring magic every week, as we are quite well stacked in the attacking mid/left department we have the luxury to rotate quite much. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They will continue to struggle to move him on, unless they reach an agreement/compromise with us. Want a solution before they have to join up for preseason. Benfica are interested and reported to have made an offer… dunno how they would make the finances work and whether they would be as big a draw for him rn as us (step back?). Each of these players was written off at some point or other or deemed simply not good enough… there were even calls for sales.
